Bogs Footwear: Comfort & Technology for Family Adventure

Bogs Footwear has one simple mission: provide the most comfortable footwear for the most uncomfortable conditions in the world.  When warm waterproof protection and comfort are both priority number one, pull on a pair of Bogs, head out the door and revel in the great outdoors.

The Bogs team outfitted one of our families of outdoor enthusiasts with a selection of boots from the Bogs’ Classic line in order to let them experience the difference Bogs technology can make.  Through December snow, Central Valley farms, and some of the worst rainstorms in Northern California’s history, our family of testers put the Plimsoll, Bridgeport Leather, Classic Mumsie and Classic High through the paces.

Just as musicians of various instruments blend into one force of sound in a beautiful symphony, the vast array of Bogs technology served as a masterful maestro through a  life of outdoors revelry.

On Design and Performance…
Let’s be honest, footwear can have all the technological advances in the world, but if it’s not comfortable there will be no puddle-jumping or spirited umbrellas-in-the-rain dances.  To ensure a comfortable fit, all Bogs Footwear is built on a European last with a wider forefront and narrower heel.  That means you can say so-long to the days of cramped toe-boxes and crunched toes.

And unlike your local, less-than-reliable weatherman, Bogs has you and the kids covered with a classic line that is all comfort rated to withstand sub-zero temps (up to -30° F).  That means more sledding, more snowmen, more kiddie splash parades around the neighborhood.DSC_0134

The Bogs design team utilizes 2mm airmesh lining that not only helps insulate, but allows air to circulate so your feet never feel bogged down.  And because you want to be comfortable when the conditions outside your Bogs are anything but, a four-way stretch inner bootie provides extraordinary comfort and warmth.

Tromping around outdoors when the temps drop, rain and snow falls, and everyone else huddles inside, is quite the gift.  Thanks to a tough natural rubber, Bogs Footwear completely repels rain, mud, slush and snow.  With that type of weather protection, you’ll be playing outdoors longer, so Bogs Max-Wick lining wicks away interior moisture keeping your feet dryer, longer.

Whether it’s a quick trip to the store, or grandpa needs some additional help on the farm, the classic kid styles have built-in pull-on handles making boot entry fast and easy.  And fear not, those built-in handles are tougher than any adventure your little tike will put them through.

Non-marking outsole keeps your little puddle jumpers steady on their feet for hours of fun on soggy playgrounds.  Whether it’s the deep tread of the women’s Plimsoll or the slip-resistant lugs of the Bridgeport, grown-up snow stompers can enjoy the view with confidence underfoot.

Bottom Line…
They say that life isn’t about surviving the storm, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.  With Bogs, you don’t have to choose…. Dance in the rain and the storm, with rugged, long wearing, 100% weather-proof footwear that bridges the gap between rainwear and winter wear.  Gumption tested, gumption approved.

Manufactured by Bogs Footwear, the Bogs classic, industrial, farm and casual line of boots are available in a wide variety of styles and colors at www.BogsFootwear.com and other reputible online retailers.
